As global climate change and environmental challenges intensify, achieving the global net-zero carbon emissions target by 2050 has become urgent. In response to this challenge, green consumption, sustainable design, circular economy, and low-carbon smart life have gradually become mainstream, emphasizing sustainable development in the economic, social, and environmental fields. These trends are closely related to ESG (environment, society, and governance) standards and the United Nations SDGs (sustainable development goals) and jointly promote global sustainable development goals.
Purpose
This year's seminar will be held at the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology. We look forward to inviting industry, government departments, academia, and interested professionals to participate and submit papers. This year's conference theme is "Sustainable Development in the AI Era", which aims to focus on sustainable industry management practices under the net zero goal, the design of innovative sustainable products and services, sustainable performance and information disclosure, and related low-carbon and smart living issues. The seminar pays special attention to how to use artificial intelligence (AI) technology to promote sustainable product design and management, improve efficiency and reduce resource waste. Through cross-domain integrated design, we will promote innovative solutions for net zero carbon emissions, brainstorm and gather the strength of all sectors to achieve sustainable coexistence and prosperity between generations.

The conference call for papers is divided into oral reports and poster papers, aiming to provide academic researchers with the opportunity to publish their research results in the field of "sustainable development". Through paper publication, participants can share their research results, and reflect and learn from each other in the question-and-answer process, promoting experience exchange and knowledge complementation. The conference not only discusses sustainable product design and industrial management, but also covers a number of sub-topics of industrial sustainable development, such as sustainable development indicators, greenhouse gas management, EU environmental directives, and environmental information management. In order to encourage domestic academic research related to "sustainable development", this seminar will set up six best paper awards and two best poster paper awards, and award certificates and public recognition will be presented on the day of the seminar.

The National Yunlin University of Science and Technology's Bachelor of Science program in Cross-domain Integrated Design proudly organizes this seminar to showcase innovative sustainable product designs. These unique creations, the result of collaboration with leading organizations in the domestic paper and electronics industries, as well as the Printing Innovation Technology Research and Development Center and the International ESG Sustainability Association, exemplify our commitment to sustainability. Join us in exploring these exceptional exhibits, which will be displayed on the first floor of Design Hall 3.
